Our Training

Our training programmes are designed to be hands-on, easy to follow, and directly applicable to the day-to-day realities of running a business. Training is offered in-person or online, can be tailored for individuals or groups, and is delivered in formats that suit the pace and capacity of the participants — whether that’s short, focused sessions or a more structured programme over several weeks.

One of our core training offerings is Cashflow Planning and Management, where we help businesses understand, forecast, and control their cash position. We break down complex financial concepts into simple, actionable steps and work alongside business owners to build cashflow plans that are relevant and realistic. Through this training, participants gain the skills to anticipate challenges, confidently manage seasonality, and make proactive decisions that support sustainable growth.

We also offer training in Management Accounting and Business Advisory, focusing on how to use financial information to lead and grow a business. This training helps participants develop the ability to read, interpret, and apply management reports, enabling them to track performance, measure profitability, and understand the financial levers within their business. We empower business owners and managers to ask the right questions, spot trends early, and make decisions based on insight, not guesswork.

Succession Planning is another key area where we support businesses. Our training helps owners prepare for future transitions, whether that’s selling the business, passing it on, or stepping back from day-to-day operations. We provide frameworks and practical tools to help businesses navigate succession smoothly, focusing on leadership development, financial readiness, and long-term value building. Hayley brings a wealth of experience to this training, having supported numerous businesses through these pivotal moments with both strategic and financial guidance.

 

Training Experience and Track Record
Hayley has an extensive background in training, coaching, and supporting businesses to build their financial capability. Prior to establishing Team Direction, Hayley was the principal at Drive Accounting, where she successfully delivered training and advisory services under the Regional Business Partner (RBP) Network. Through this programme, Hayley provided one-on-one and group training sessions focused on cashflow management, financial systems, management accounting, and business planning.

Her approach to training is practical, modern, and tailored to the needs of each business. Hayley has developed a range of training tools and resources that break down complex accounting and financial concepts into clear, actionable steps. She has consistently received positive feedback from businesses for her ability to make numbers accessible and to build capability in a way that is both empowering and sustainable.

In addition to her work with the RBP network, Hayley has delivered workshops, facilitated training for industry groups, and provided in-house financial training for growing businesses across sectors. With Team Direction, she is continuing to develop and offer training modules that support business owners to confidently lead and manage their organisations. This training capability will be integrated and clearly promoted through the Team Direction website in the near future.
